Set up your publication

Coside uses publication data configured in Ghost Admin for the site header, navigation, and sidebar.

Publication details and branding

Set the following in Ghost Admin under the publication's settings and design controls:

• Title and description: used by the theme in publication branding and metadata.
• Publication logo: displayed in the theme's header and other branding areas where a logo is available.
• Publication cover image: used as the sidebar background when set. Without a cover image, the sidebar uses the theme's color background.
• Accent color: used for highlighted interface elements and links.
• Social accounts: used for the publication's social links.

Check the result on both desktop and mobile after saving branding changes.

Navigation

Add primary and secondary links in Ghost's navigation settings. Coside renders the configured navigation in the site header and mobile navigation panel. Link your member pages or Ghost Portal screens where readers can find them; the theme does not automatically choose your preferred signup or signin link.

Tags and topics

Use Ghost tags to organize posts. Coside can show public topics on the homepage and provides a custom tags directory page. Use clear, consistent tag names and add descriptions or images in Ghost when they help explain a topic.

The homepage topic section is limited by the Number of topics theme setting. See Theme settings.
